Ja...............schönes Licht war selten an den Tagen zwischen den Jahren in Paris.
Nein............nicht mal ein Besuch des Sonnenkönig-Anwesens lockte die Sonne hervor, der Himmel blieb verhangen.
Vielleicht.....strahlten die wenigen hellen Momente dafür umso stärker.

Yes.............beautiful light was rare on the days between Christmas and New Year in Paris.
No..............even a visit of the property of le Roi Soleil (Sun King Louis XIV.) couldn't persuade the sun to come out.

Perspective and colors are beautiful on your second picture. If there had been more sun outside, the atmosphere would have been less mysterious .... ;)

i experience my favourite city of brussels just so as i saw it in 1988. i'm planning to shoot that image again this year, see what has changed. probs not a thing! ;)))

sometimes, though, it is the low, slanting winter light that will illuminate the inside of buildings better. i visited San Marco Basilic in Venice once in June, and then in February - and it was the February winter light that made all the golden mosaics glitter and look magical.
