Ja...............es wird wieder Zeit für einen Blick auf die Baustelle.     
Nein............auf den ersten Blick ist nicht so viel passiert, das Obergeschoss ist weiter in der Vorbereitung. Bei genauerem Hinsehen erkennt man aber, wieviel inzwischen im Erdgeschoss passiert ist. Überdies hat man begonnen, die drei alten, noch bestehenden Gebäude mit einer Brandwand abzuschotten. Unglaublich, sie werden offenbar wirklich umbaut, dabei sind sie keineswegs schön oder erhaltenswert, im Gegenteil. Das einzig erhaltenswerte Gebäude steht weiter hinten, Richtung Stadt, gegenüber vom Kugelbrunnen und wird ebenfalls vom Neubau umschlossen. Diese Details finde ich persönlich wirklich am spannendsten, denn es gab im Vorfeld viel Streit um Abrissgenehmigungen und Baumfällungen. Hier sind ein paar Eigentümer anscheinend hart geblieben und haben sich durchgesetzt, selbst wenn es am Ende das Gesamtbild wohl erheblich stören dürfte.
Vielleicht.....schade, dass der Blick zur linken Hälfte der Baustelle fehlt, denn auch da wächst nochmal ein Gebäudeabschnitt in ähnlicher Größe. Zudem wird im Vordergrund rechts unten einmal um die halbe Kirche herum eine breite Unterführung gegraben. Zum Glück dürfte der Fels, auf dem sie steht, ziemlich stabil sein. Ansonsten weckt der Umfang der Grabungen so nah am Kirchenfundament Erinnerungen an die U-Bahn-Baumaßnahmen in Köln, in deren Folge erst ein Kirchturm ins Wanken geriet und schließlich sogar das gesamte Stadtarchiv einstürzte...

Yes.............time for a look on the building site again.
No..............at the first sight, nothing much has happened, the first floor is still in preparation. But if you look closer, you'll realise how much has happened at the ground floor meanwhile. Apart from that, they have started to build a firewall around the three remaining old buildings, what means, they will really be kept. Unbelievable, especially because of the fact, that they aren't really nice or worth to be conserved at all. Quite the contrary! The only building, that really is worth remaining is located far more behind in the background, facing the Globe fountain, and will be surrounded by the new building as well. These details are really of most interest to me, because there was a lot of anger and discussion about demolition permits and treecuttings. Obviously, some of the owners stood firm and asserted themselves, even if the final overall picture will presumably be disturbed in a substantial way.
Maybe.........a pity, the left part of the building site is missing here, as here rises another part of the building in similar dimensions. Furthermore, in the foreground on the right, a huge underpass is excavated round half of the church. Luckily the rock the church was built on should be stable enough, otherwise could these building activities so close to the grounding of the church evoke memories of the underground building measures in Cologne, which affected the balance of a church tower first and then even caused the whole local archive building to collapse...
